How it works

I suggest a format and schedule that suits you. You get your own digital folder for all materials and notes.

How I teach
Most ways to learn Dutch are built for everyone: fixed courses, modules, apps, drop-in speaking classes. My lessons are built for you. They’re one-to-one, with a coaching approach woven into every session.
If you’re starting out, a lesson brings new vocabulary and grammar, followed by a listening exercise and speaking practice. If you’re further along, we talk. I note the mistakes you make, and when the conversation ends, we work through them one by one.
Along the way you build solid pronunciation, a feel for word order, and enough grammar to fall back on. That gives you the tools to keep developing your Dutch outside the lessons too.
Starting is the hardest part, when it feels like too much and you don’t know where to begin. But once you’re in it, you see the results quickly, and that’s what keeps you going.
About your teacher
Hi, I’m Berend. I’ve been teaching NT2 for over ten years, working with international professionals and expat partners across the Netherlands.
Everyone comes in with a different background, pace, and starting point — which is why lessons are built around you, not a fixed course structure. My role is to bring calm and structure to the process, so you always know where you stand and what’s realistic for your goals.

Private lessons — €91 per hour
One-to-one, built entirely around your work and goals.
Small groups — €104 per hour, for the group
Two to five people: colleagues, partners or friends learning together.
Inburgering exam preparation — €91 per hour
Focused, efficient preparation for the civic integration exam.
Intensive programmes — Fee on request

All lessons are online and VAT-exempt. Every course begins with a free intake, with no obligation.
